Sub Panel Wire Size. From the main panel in the basement. I was curious if i could use 8/3 wire rather than 6/3?? The wire is sized to the breaker in the main box that is feeding the subpanel.

A wire size calculator say that #14 wire is fine. Sub panel installation the easy right way. Do you really need one ?
