Reattach Rear View Mirror To Windshield. I purchased a package of permatex rearview mirror adhesive (81844) on the recommendation of my local napa store. After 25 years my interior rear view mirror fell off the good old e32 750il. If your side view mirrors glue becomes old, it may cause your mirror to fall down.
So the rear view mirror is off the windshield and you need to remove the mounting tab from the mirror, so you can glue it how do you get the rear view mirror off the new fords?

I was able to pry the metal clip off to get the button off. Rear view mirror adhesive outperforms epoxies and super glue type products. Reattaching a rearview mirror is one of the easiest and cheapest repairs you really can do yourself in a matter of minutes.
