Garage Sub Panel Ground Rod. I always assumed it was better to have ground rods at both ends as long as they were tied together. Telling me that i'll do a separate ground rod at the garage (2 rods actually), so why do i need the ground running from the house to the garage subpanel? Have seen master electricians & inspectors miss this before, and where there was a short to ground, did not trip the breaker like it should have.
However, having multiple sources of ground means you can have voltage appear between two grounds, since they going to different places.
