Acrylic Enamel Clear Coat. Is this possibly not wanting to upgrade, the thinking of why mess with a good. I've heard about testors gloss cote and dull cote. Weather, dirt and other damaging elements never touch the actual paint on the car.

The owner/painter said he strongly recomends acrylic enamel. 1k or 2k enamel, acrylic enamel, acrylic urethane, polyurethane and base coat clear coat. Weather, dirt and other damaging elements never touch the actual paint on the car. Durable, for both indoor and outdoor use. Does the clear coat have to be enamel? But the guys is a 32 year painting veteran. Would those be ok over enamel? My preference is to buy matching brand and series color coat and clear coat to avoid potential compatability issues.
